Simply put: incredible. And terrifying. Really terrifying. The presented scenario is way too plausible. Just not yet. Loved the 2001 references, especially how Gerty was the exact oppsite of HAL.

It's 2009 and a 1996 movie still got me going. It's still one of the best movies of all times, for me. Top 5. Easily. Still made me cry. American Dream all the way. Yes, it had me at the hello.

Brilliant analogy made between the rabbits living inside the no man's land inside the Berlin Wall and people living on both sides of it. Funny and tragic at the same time. [DKF Marcello]

Twelve Monkeys (1995)
5/5
2009-06-02 23:58
Definitely one of the best Sci-Fi movies ever. Even though it's not really so much Sci-Fi. It's like the third or fourth time I'm watching this and boy it never gets old. Sure, it's dated now and it even shows, but the emotions are still there. Oh yes they are.

Synecdoche, New York (2008)
5/5
2009-03-06 23:24
A world of its own. A world of Charlie Kaufman. Great movie about passing away and importance of things. And even though the world goes on for eons and eons you are only here for a fraction of a fraction of a second. Most of your time is spent being dead or not yet born. But while alive, you wait in vain wasting years for a phone call or a letter or a look... from someone or something to make it all right. And it never comes, or it seems to, but it doesn't really. So you spend your time in vague regret or vaguer hope that something good will come along.

"Dexter" Season 1 (2006)

Dexter, you're like an addiction. The worst of all. Just a couple of days it took me to swim through the first 12 episodes. Yeah, it's true, you just can't stop. And each one is better than the previous one. Now what I need is a little break, as to not feed my addiction too much.

Wow. I was literally shocked. Minute after minute I was being dragged into a great suburban story. And with each passing minute I witnessed the perfection of the story and, especially, the main character. Really, perfectly made. The sound, the music, the action, the dialogues, yes, especially the dialogues. Just wow. So indie yet so mature.
