Or other way it's worth driving so far ;) Lakes near Kartuzy (Chmielno, Stezyca etc.) are realy beautiful. Full of fish, birds and crawfish. 40km is not so far.

No matter how hard you try. As for those lakes near Gdańsk, unfortunately most of them are polluted. You have to drive at least 40KM outside of the city to experience really nice ones.
